About Tomas
I am a Cultural Diplomacy postgraduate from Goldsmiths, University of London. I have spent nearly three years in the UK and I have also attended The University of Warwick, which has allowed me to reach a proficient level of English.
From 2016 to 2018, I taught English and Spanish at several language schools in Madrid. At the same time, I worked as a writer and a translator for an online masters taught by The Autonomous University of Madrid.
Since then, I have been working in the music industry while also translating and teaching on a freelance basis.

According to my experience, the key to teaching any subject is to make it as interesting and engaging as possible for you so you can relate to it personally.
As a consequence, all of my classes are tailored not only to your needs, but also to your background, hobbies and interests. In this sense, my goal is to bridge the gap between the subject and your motivations.
Because of my background, I make a strong use of culture in my classes. I believe that knowing a country's culture is essential in order to love its language, and viceversa. As a result, you might find yourself reciting a great play by Lorca or humming ROSALÍA's latest hit, depending on what really triggers your serotonin.
Whether you need to give a presentation in Spanish for one of your clients or you're planning on making the most of your Erasmus year in Madrid, I believe that I can help you achieve great results while we both have a great time. Do not hesitate to give me a shout!
