About Gui
Gui Rezende’s transcendent blend of pop, soul, blues, and rock has made him a mainstay of the British music scene. He boasts a wealth of experience performing in the UK and overseas with British artist Alex Francis, having supported STING, STEREOPHONICS, JAMES BAY and ALANIS MORISSETTE. With over 1600 hours of teaching under his belt, some of his students went from total beginners to writing their first songs and performing live for the first time. He co-wrote Francis’ single ‘Desire’, produced by Jeff Silverman (Adele, Aloe Blacc, Lady Wray). The single has amassed over 100,000 streams on Spotify, played on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio London, and playlisted in retail shops across the UK, France, Portugal, Italy, Brazil and UAE. With the release of his debut solo material, Gui is beginning a new chapter of his story, charting out bold new territory as a singer/songwriter. His debut single 'Too Close To The Sun', (out in April 2022), secured a Spotify Homepage Take Over in Portugal. His debut album was recorded Abbey Road Studios and mastered by Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin).

I'm a session guitarist/singer-songwriter and I'm looking for a select number of guitar students (Skype). Introductory 30 min call for us to get to know each other is free. My experience playing with other artists and writing my own music has given me great perspective on how to guide my students to understand the concept of being MUSICAL and SERVING THE SONG. My method of teaching is a combination of my own and a fellow teacher who has been teaching for over 20 years. I'm able to teach a variety of genres including Soul, Blues, Rock, Funk, Folk, Neo Soul, Finger Style, Boom Chick. Whether you would like to shoot for the stars or just learn a few chords, the teaching will be tailored to your needs. All ages, from beginners to advanced: - Guiding you to progress in music and song learning smoothly to the next level - The correct mindset to support your music goals - Understanding power of melody and rhythm - Finding what you like and connecting with the instrument - Technique and efficient exercises to speed your evolution - Theory, scales, harmony, improvising, making music - Playing with others, jamming £180 a month paid in advance for 4 lessons, one per week. 8 lessons for £340 if bought in advance Look forward to hearing from you!
