About Alan
I scored a 179 on the official October 2021 LSAT. Before our consult, I’ll send you my LSAC score report.
I did not luck into that number. I studied the way I now teach: a written plan, question-type strategy, heavy conditional-logic drills, and practice tests that actually measure whether the method is working.
I started tutoring the test immediately after that exam. Since then I have taught private lessons and group classes for major LSAT prep companies (including 7Sage, Kaplan, and Blueprint) and I now teach independently on Superprof, where I am an Ambassador with a 5-star record.
Superprof shows 34 students on the platform; that number does not include the students I taught through those companies both privately and in group classes, as the total is in the several hundreds.
I have worked with complete beginners, retakers stuck in the 150s, and students scoring high who are seeking to nail a 170+. Several students who came in scoring in the 140s and 150s, some starting from scratch, later broke 170, even 175+. No matter where you are, whether you haven’t looked at a single question or whether you are scoring high already, I have taught students like you and they have achieved their dream scores!
I graduated from law school in May of 2025. I still remember exactly what it felt like to sit with a stimulus and not know where to begin, feeling overwhelmed and confused. Had I contacted a tutor who cared back then, I would have saved myself countless months of struggle and suffering.
If you want someone who had to learn the test the same way you will and can show you the system with a plan built around your error patterns, book the free consult and let’s discuss!

Every new student starts with a free consult (phone or Zoom).
You can ask me anything. I will ask where you are in the process, what you have already tried, your target score and test date, and how you actually study.
After that call, I send a written study plan. We do not drill a single question until that plan exists.
Lessons are live on Zoom, usually 90 or 120 minutes (60 minutes if that is all the calendar allows). I am Eastern Time: open all day Saturday and Sunday, and after 6pm Monday–Friday.
How the work is structured:
• You get a customized course plan, not a random stack of questions.
• Each week you leave with a drill packet and a one-page cheat sheet for the concepts we covered.
• We use timed practice tests on a schedule so we can see whether the strategy is transferring — not just whether you understood one example in session.
Logical Reasoning:
• Argument anatomy first: conclusion, premises, and the assumption gap, identified before you touch an answer choice.
• A separate protocol for each LR question type. The traps are not random; each type has a pattern.
• Conditional logic is not optional. We drill it until “if / only if / unless / no / unless” is automatic, then we apply it to real stimuli.
• Misses get categorized. Score movement comes from killing the pattern, not re-reading the same question.
Reading Comprehension:
• Read like an editor: author’s position, tone shifts, and what each paragraph is doing — not a pile of details.
• A fast passage map so most questions are already half-answered before you go back to the text.
• A separate protocol for comparative passages. Most self-studiers never train that format on its own.
What I need from you:
1. Show up ready to discuss and learn! The session is for strategy, diagnosis, and tightening the approach.
2. Take advantage of the drills and packets I send you after each session. The drills between sessions are where the score is built.
3. Most of all, stay positive and don’t lose hope! I have had students who came to me hopeless and on the verge of giving up, and I have never once taught a student who was not happy with their final official LSAT score. Stick with me and I promise you will hit your goals.
The goal is not to survive the LSAT. It is to see the test the way its writers built it — and to have a plan you can run on test day without me in the room.

I met Alan during my undergraduate studies when I first contemplated applying to law school. After only a few lessons together I became knowledgeable in conditional logic and had an approach to attack every type of question, which I never thought I would get! We continued working through each question type until I was scoring in the 170s, finally achieving a 177 on my LSAT, up by 32 points! 10/10 recommend Alan to any LSAT student
Alan is a trustworthy teacher because we really meets the needs of his students, he genuinely helps me to understand material, and gives get strategies.
After scoring a 145 on the June LSAT I chose to go with Alan as my tutor. After working with him over the summer I ended up scoring a 170 on the October test! Alan is friendly, kind, and the best teacher you could ask for. I recommend him to anybody looking for an LSAT tutor!
Alan is a great teacher! I have learned so much from his sessions. I increased my score by 10 points and counting! His price is competitive with other tutors and you definitely get your moneys worth! He is the absolute best!
Alan is a great LSAT tutor who demonstrates often his exceptional knowledge of the exam and how his students can conquer the test. For someone who is fresh out of undergrad, Alan is a great tutor for his ability to connect with you and relate to you in ways other tutors cannot. Since starting tutoring with Alan, I have built up my skills across the entire LSAT test and feel much more confident in how I will perform on the exam.
Right from the start Alan made an easy to follow study schedule. After taking a diagnostic with him we focused on improving individual sections and my score went from 151 to 163!
