About Sean
Hi, I'm Sean! A friendly and dedicated Materials Science & Engineering student at Imperial College London. I help students build a deep understanding of their subjects and the confidence to showcase that knowledge when it matters most, whether in a final exam or a competitive university interview.
My own journey to Imperial, combined with my role as a Lead Materials Ambassador, has given me an insightful perspective. I see how the problem-solving skills you develop in A-Level Maths, Physics, and Chemistry are the exact same skills Imperial tests in its interviews. It's not about secret knowledge; it's about learning how to think methodically under pressure.
My tutoring is designed to bridge that gap. We won't just work towards top grades at GCSE and A-Level; we'll build a logical, confident mindset that will make you stand out in any academic challenge. I specialise in preparing students for Imperial interviews for science and engineering courses, turning the intimidating into the achievable.

My lessons are a personalised training ground for academic success. I don't just teach the syllabus; I teach you how to apply your knowledge impressively.
What I offer:
1. GCSE & A-Level Tutoring in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, focused on building a rock-solid understanding.
2. Integrated Imperial Interview Preparation that connects your subject knowledge to the problem-solving techniques top universities look for.
Here’s how it works: When we tackle a complex physics problem, we're not just finding the answer, we're practicing how to break down a vague question, structure your thoughts, and explain your logic clearly. These are the skills that ace exams and interviews.
My teaching style is calm, patient, and adaptable. I create a relaxed environment where you can ask anything, make mistakes, and ultimately build the confidence to excel in both your written exams and your future academic pursuits.

Sean delivered highly effective lessons for Ran. He provided clear, structured guidance tailored to the Imperial College interview requirements and helped Ran strengthen both his analytical thinking and communication skills. Sean also offered practical strategies for approaching challenging questions, which gave Ran more confidence.
Sean prepares for every tutoring session in advance, he usually has more ways to explain the topics. He is open to questions and even to do some research to be able to answer them. He is kind and patient, i believe he can get along well with most of his pupils. I gave him this rating because his goal-orientated tutoring sessions helped me to achieve my seemingly ambitious goal.
