I am a junior year mechanical engineering student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a student of one of the top engineering schools, I understand the challenges of learning math and science, and I have built strong study and learning habits that apply to all subjects. I tutor students by understanding their individual needs and learning style to create a personalized approach. I create a question and feedback-based environment that strengthens my rapport with the student and builds the student's confidence in the topic and independent learning. I start each session with a quick assessment to identify the strengths and gaps. I then adjust the session to cover the principles with an emphasis on addressing the gaps. Together, we work on drills and practice problems and finish with the student applying what was learned. I have experience teaching early education math and science, and I have experience tutoring complex concepts at the college level. Primary subjects include Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Chemistry, Calculus, AP Physics, and Statics.

Ryan helped me ace physics at UW-Madison. I went into the class very lost & confused, but he was able to break down difficult concepts and explain them in a way that made sense to me. Definitely would recommend him as a tutor!
Ryan tutored my daughter in Algebra 2H during the school year and on Trigonometry over the summer. Ryan worked with my daughter extremely well. My daughter had missed school and was anxious that she was falling behind and was not able to keep up with the class. Ryan went through the course syllabus and focused the sessions on learning and building confidence. He is knowledgeable and very patient. Our daughter's grade improved significantly. We kept Ryan on after to help our daughter through with Trigonometry.
