About Ilyas
I am a 21-year-old 3rd year medical student at Newcastle University. I went to school in Oxford, where I got nine 9s + one 8 at GCSE, and 3 A*s at A level (maths/bio/chem). I also got 3210 and Band 1 in my UCAT I have been tutoring for over 2 years now online/in person in Oxford, and really enjoy helping students achieve their goals!! I am enthusiastic and engaging, and make sure that students feel excited about their lessons and learn as much as possible :)

I love teaching students based on how they like to learn and will change the lesson depending on the student's needs! My key priority is making sure students feel comfortable asking any questions they might have, so I can explain things in full detail and maximise their learning! I love developing a teaching relationship with students and watching them grow in knowledge. My lessons are usually 1-2 hours long, to make sure we get the most out of teaching, but so the student doesn't get distracted/burnt out. I will usually start with teaching of the topic at hand (making sure the student understands everything along the way), and end with questions to consolidate knowledge.

Excellent! I thought I knew a lot about the UCAT since I’d already taken it once, but Ilyas was really helpful across all the sections. He especially helped me improve in Verbal Reasoning, which I had been struggling with, and his strategies made a huge difference in how I approached the test. I’d really recommend him to anyone preparing for the UCAT.

I would strongly recommend Ilyas as a tutor to everyone! He is very engaging and focused on things I struggled with to help me do as well as possible in my A levels. He also helped me with UCAT/interviews/personal statement, to help get my offer from Newcastle medical school :)
Ilyas is very reliable, professional, kind and well prepared.
