  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    I am a professional MMA fighter with 10 years of experience and also a certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Coach, and MMA Coach. Interestingly, my journey into this field wasn't conventional. Growing up, I wasn't into sports or any kind of fitness activities. I was a very shy person, struggled to speak in front of people, and was a below-average student academically.

    What sparked my interest in MMA was my desire to learn self-defense and boost my confidence. I initially started training to overcome my personal limitations, but soon I discovered how transformative this journey could be. Training not only improved my physical strength but also helped me open up to people.

    Over time, I started competing in sports, which pushed me further out of my comfort zone and built my confidence. These experiences made me realize the potential of fitness and martial arts to empower others, which is why I'm so passionate about coaching today. I love seeing people grow, both physically and mentally, just as I did.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    The motivation behind my decision to teach stems from my own transformative journey through MMA and fitness. When I started training, it was purely to learn self-defense and boost my confidence. Over time, the practice not only helped me physically but also completely reshaped my mindset. I went from being a shy, reserved individual to someone who could confidently interact with people and even compete in sports.

    This journey made me realize how powerful fitness and martial arts can be in changing lives. I wanted to give back and help others experience the same growth I did. Teaching allows me to share the skills and lessons that helped me overcome my fears, build confidence, and find my true potential.

    Seeing my students-whether they're kids, teens, or adults-gain strength, confidence, and self-belief through training is what motivates me every day. It's incredibly fulfilling to know that I'm not just teaching a skill, but also helping them unlock their best selves.
  • How does your work help society?

    My work contributes to society by empowering individuals of all ages through fitness and self-defense. Teaching MMA and fitness is not just about physical strength-it's about building confidence, discipline, and mental resilience.

    For children and teenagers, my training helps instill important values like focus, respect, and perseverance, which can positively shape their future. For adults, it's a way to stay healthy, manage stress, and feel more secure in their ability to protect themselves.

    Additionally, I strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where people can overcome their fears and limitations, just as I did. By helping individuals grow stronger physically and mentally, I believe I'm contributing to a healthier, more confident, and self-reliant community. When people feel empowered, they are more likely to contribute positively to society as well.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    If I had to think of a role model for my work, I would say my dad and everyone in society who works hard to achieve their goals. My dad has always been an inspiration to me-his dedication, resilience, and ability to balance responsibilities while staying grounded are qualities I deeply admire.

    Similarly, I draw inspiration from everyday people in our society who manage to juggle their busy lives while still making time for their physical and mental health. It's incredible to see how people, despite their hectic schedules, prioritize fitness and personal growth.

    These role models remind me why I do what I do. They show me that with determination and balance, anything is possible. My goal is to help more people like them lead healthier and more confident lives by incorporating fitness and self-defense into their routines.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    Outside of teaching, I have a few hobbies that help me relax and recharge. I enjoy watching MMA fights, not just for entertainment but also to study techniques and strategies that I can incorporate into my own training and teaching.

    I'm also a fan of video games-they're a fun way to unwind and keep my mind sharp. Another hobby I've developed over the years is cooking my own healthy meals. It's something I genuinely enjoy because it allows me to experiment with nutritious recipes while staying mindful of my fitness goals.

    These hobbies not only help me maintain balance in my life but also reflect my passion for continuously improving myself, whether it's in the gym, the kitchen, or even during downtime.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been witnessing the incredible transformations my students have achieved. I remember a few students who started their fitness journey with me in a place similar to where I began-having little to no physical activity in their lives, feeling unsure about their abilities, and lacking confidence.


    Through consistent effort and dedication, they progressed from doing nothing to working out five days a week. They lost significant amounts of weight, built strength, and improved their stamina. But more importantly, they gained confidence, learned self-defense, and started living healthier lives.

    Some even took it a step further and began competing professionally, which is an incredible achievement. I've seen students heal from illnesses, both physical and mental, and completely turn their lives around.

    These stories are a constant reminder of why I do what I do. It's not just about teaching techniques or workouts-it's about helping people discover their potential and live fuller, healthier lives. Every time I see such transformations, it reinforces my belief in the power of fitness and martial arts to change lives.
