About Barbara
I am a very warm and welcoming presence, who loves talking to other people and sharing my passion for literature and learning. I love immersing myself completely in an idea and am excited by the notion of sharing ideas with other people. I also would like to inspire others to love literature as much as I do, something I am immensely passionate about as a student of the Humanities (which I think are immensely underappreciated and important).

Am offering essay technique improvement, as well as content and analysis support. Can help with literacy and study planning as well as proofread and mark essays. I am immensely sensitive to the specific needs of the student in front of me and am keen on pushing creative minds further. I am a very visual learner and teacher and therefore will create PowerPoints and mindmaps outlining essay techniques the student can go over in their own revision. I have used this method to tutor before and it has gotten good marks. Lessons will be 30mins-1hr depending on what the student needs and wants. I am offering lessons for GCSE/A-Level students (+their Scottish equivalents, with which I am more familiar). I can also offer support with Personal Statements and SAAS applications, specifically based on the model that got me into Oxford.
