To be honest with you I'm not at all keen on long hikes in the hot and humid tropical weather for any reason. I avoid this like a plague. Some students have a strong preference for a 1-on-one, sit down at a table with a cup of tea or coffee and do their lessons. This is not something I dislike, however it must be said that a good many online ( webcam) ESL and other lessons are almost or as good in some cases actually better than the traditional way. Sometimes things like a teacher producing certain sounds in `English, French or Japanese and having the student close, thus being able to hear and feel any nuances or vibrato, etc., etc. and have a better chance of replicating it as only a native speaker can is aided by the old-fashioned one to one sit-down lessons. In these cases I'd advocate one of these.
