About Tze Lun
Hello, I'm Tze, a qualified accountant based in Surrey.
I am a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and a member of CPA Australia. I have worked in accounting and audit since the 1990s.
Over my career, I have reviewed the accounts of many businesses of every size, and I have trained junior staff to understand accounting from the ground up. I enjoy taking a topic that looks complicated and explaining it in a simple, logical way.
Now I want to use my experience to help students succeed in their Accounting exams. I am patient, well organised and happy to go at the pace each student needs.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for students taking A-level Accounting (AQA) and International GCSE or IGCSE Accounting (Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge). All lessons take place online and last 60 minutes.
I welcome complete beginners. If you have never studied accounting before, we will start from the basics, such as what assets, liabilities, income and expenses are, and build up your confidence one step at a time before moving on to exam-level work.
In the first lesson, I find out which topics the student finds difficult and what grade they are aiming for. I then plan the lessons around those needs.
Each lesson combines clear explanation with plenty of practice. We work through topics step by step, from double entry and trial balances to final accounts, limited company accounts, ratio analysis, budgeting and costing. I use real past exam questions and show students how marks are awarded, so they learn the layout and wording examiners expect.
As a qualified accountant in Hong Kong and Australia with many years of professional experience, I also explain how each topic is used in real businesses, which helps students understand rather than just memorise.
Lessons can be in English or Cantonese.
