About Cleo
With over 6 years of experience as a Guitar tutor, I specialise in teaching Guitar to college students in a clear and engaging way. I believe learning music should be inspiring and confidence-building.
My teaching style is calm, friendly, and flexible. I understand that each student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit individual needs. I focus on steady progress rather than rushing through topics.
I use innovative methods such as learning through real songs, focused technique exercises, and structured practice plans. Students learn chords, strumming, fingerstyle, and scales while applying them directly in songs. I also use rhythm exercises and backing tracks to improve timing.
I teach music theory in a simple and practical manner so students can easily understand how it works on the guitar. I also encourage improvisation and creative play to help students express themselves.
I aim to create a comfortable learning space where students feel motivated and confident. My goal is to help college students enjoy playing the guitar, improve consistently, and become independent musicians.

I teach Guitar with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I believe every student can discover their own musical voice. My lessons encourage improvisation, composing original music, and experimenting with different styles, helping students build confidence and expression.
Critical thinking is central to my approach. I teach students to analyse songs, understand chord progressions, and explore rhythm and melody patterns. This helps them become independent musicians who can adapt and make creative choices while playing.
Accountability is an important part of my methodology. I guide students to set clear goals, practise consistently, and reflect on their progress. I provide feedback that motivates and encourages growth, creating a positive learning experience.
In addition to Guitar, I can teach music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance techniques. Lessons are personalised to the student’s pace, learning style, and musical interests.
My goal is to mentor students into confident, creative musicians who enjoy playing, composing, and expressing themselves through music.
