About Dec
I am a vocalist and guitarist in 3 touring bands (2 original and a tribute band) with knowledge and interest in any genre from pop to punk and heavy metal. I will not sit and teach you what I think we need to learn, we will look at your aspirations and break down each step to get to that point. Do you want to play bass in a hair metal band? We will break down the bands in that genre and look at how the instrument is utilised in this genre. Do you want to know how to get Muse style bass tones? We will break down the equipment used and develop your own style around that goal! Want to be a session musician? We will look at how the fundamentals of bass work in a song, and what that means for the rest of the song!

I'm a touring musician, record musician and band manager. I have been playing guitar and bass for 15 years and worked in every sector of music. From gigs to session recording. Together we can work from any level and learn how your instrument works at a fundamental level in coherence with a band. I will teach you how every aspect of your instrument works (vocals or bass guitar) from setups, warm-ups, gear and equipment, how microphones work, and how to take care of your instrument to take it on nationwide tours and play big stages. Working with me means you get a hands-on level of experience from someone in the live sector who understands the ‘gig economy’ and how to be the best at what you need to do.
