About Alastair
I have over fifteen years experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language as well as intervals of 5 years in post graduate education and 8 years working in online media production. During my career I have also designed and delivered in both large and small classroom settings as well as as one-to-one tuition. Primarily, I have taught in a TEFL context. I have taught classes relating to Business Studies, History and English Literature, and I have some experience teaching IELTS/ TOEFL exam preparation. I have moved to teaching online due to Covid-19 and in the last year I have taught a wide range of students from young children to advanced level adults.

My ideal methodology is to begin with a consultation as to the aims and expectations of the client to assess what they require and then to design the teaching to focus on their specific area of interest the needs. I prefer to follow an organic student-focussed lesson style but I can also provide prescriptive structured tutoring as well. Ask me what you need and I'll tell you if I can help!
