About Olivia
I am a classical/jazz pianist and jazz vocalist with a degree in commercial music. I have performance, competition, and teaching experience! I love to teach private piano lessons and I work best with students who have a beginning/intermediate understanding of music. The material covered in lessons depends on each student and can include anything from sight reading to learning scales!

My teaching method is very flexible as I feel every student learns differently! I am a big believer in personal interpretation of music and generally do not teach by imitation. Depending on the skill level of the student, I may begin teaching the fundamentals such as how to read music and identify pitches on the keyboard. If I’m working with a more advanced student, I may focus on interpretation, phrasing, dynamics, etc.
