About Nayan
Hi! I’m Nayan. I'm 19, currently studying aerospace engineering in the University of Nottingham. I'm offering maths tuition from primary to A-level. I have been tutoring for over 2 years. My academic background consists of an A* in both GCSE and A level Physics. I decided to start tutoring during my time in university but I realised it was easier to access a larger range of students online that were in need of maths help. As everything is now moving towards the digital age, it would only make sense to start tutoring online so that students can learn from their own computer without needing to even leave their homes. What improvement can you expect to see? On average, my students improve by about 2-3 grades from their predicted grade, depending on the length of time I have with them and several other factors. What can you expect from me? I value every single one of my students. I want them to succeed. So, tutoring requires more than just imparting knowledge, it's about making sure the surrounding factors are in order. The knowledge, mindset and organisation need to work together in harmony to achieve one's best result. So you can expect to see me go above and beyond to enable them to do their best. This can mean doing overtime, or helping with quick impromptu questions over text. I believe the best times for student tutoring are on a Wednesday in the middle of the week, so that the student is in the right academic mindset or perhaps the weekend so there is more time to absorb mathematical material.

I have been a tutor for the last 2 years and have developed an extremely efficient, organised and detailed teaching style that has helped students I have had in the past. I believe with mathematics, there are 2 main types of learning so that I can assure you that you have the best understanding and application of mathematics. 50% comes from first understanding why a particular mathematical method is completed. With this information, we know the use of the method and then the logical solution. The other 50% comes from applying the methods you have learnt, to explore the types of questions you will face in an exam. This will ensure that you will be ready for nearly every question. In terms of the length of my classes I believe 1 hour and 20 minutes is ideal.
