About Lourens
I am a student from South Africa that teaches Afrikaans and English in my spare time, I love to help people learn the beautiful language that is Afrikaans as this is my mother tongue. I have been studying Afrikaans for 12 years now and gave classes to over 30 people this year alone. I also gave a few lessons on the English subject.

when I teach I engage the learner in the lesson, my main goal is that the student feels comfortable and enjoys learning the language. I will give extra exercises for the learner to study further at home and a pdf with all needed materials. When in a class session I like to bring Afrikaans in to every sentence so the learner gets use to how words are pronounced and start feeling more comfortable about the language.
I believe the best way to study a language is to listen to other people who know it by heart and practice speaking it more often.
