I focus first on making sure the student knows they can succeed, no matter what they may feel or believe. Often times issues arise only after the student has been told that they cannot do it. Once we get past that first hurdle, I then focus on finding the best way ahead for the student. Every situation is different and must be handled in a way that will focus on success for the individual student.
