About Utsav
I'm a film student and have completed my graduation in Cinematography from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). I'm currently pursuing my post-graduation in Advanced Film Making from Canada and I promise to pass onto you all the film school knowledge I have gained in this past 5 years. I've been making independent films, music videos, and documentaries for 4 years now and have been awarded and accoladed worldwide in several film festivals including Sundance Film Festival.

Everyone has a different perception going around making films, either as a director or working in a crew on a film set in one of the many technical jobs on set, like a cinematographer (my personal favorite) or a gaffer, grip, sound recorder, or a boom operator.
Well, we'll clear the basics of film making, ethics of working on a film set, jobs in film making, various crew positions (so that with the time you'll be able to decide what interests you the most), duties and responsibilities of various crew jobs, film business, running independent production house and earning profits, knowledge about film festivals, and camera and lights of course.
AS PER YOUR INTERESTS:
I'll design personalized class for you, for example, a person interested in becoming a DIRECTOR will study about coming up with story ideas, crowdfunding, finding cast and crew, on set direction skills, working with actors, handling a crew of 100 people, production, distributing your independent film.
A WRITER will learn about brainstorming ideas, writing loglines, beat sheets, preparing a script, screenplay, and further, we'll go into scene breakdown, shot list, and storyboard techniques.
A CINEMATOGRAPHER will study all about cameras and lighting, Cinematographers will have practical lessons and assignments as it is a very practical field and the best way of learning is by doing it yourself. Your assignments will be graded and you'll be constantly improving by making more and more videos and correcting mistakes noted in your past assignments.
So on and so forth, for every film job, I'll design a personalized class and study material. We'll focus more on practical, hands-on knowledge than theoretical but theoretical is important as well. Who needs to spend all savings on an expensive film school when you can learn all about film making from your home at a much less cost and clear all your doubts and become a successful filmmaker.
