I've been learning Portuguese with Lara for about six months now and she is a wonderful teacher! My ability level in Portuguese has dramatically changed from where I was at when I began with her (I started from very basics). I love Lara's approach of teaching in that she utilizes different methods like stories, flash cards, and the various homework she gives me. She tailors her approach for each student as my husband is also a student with her. I would highly recommend working with Lara, she is a wonderful teacher and person! She makes learning a language fun and enjoyable :)

Lara is an excellent Portuguese teacher! She keeps our one on one virtual class fun & interesting yet still challenges me every step of the way. She is able to adjust the curriculum to fit your language level & your learning skills. All in all, a great learning experience!

I found Lara when I had posted an online ad for private intensive Portuguese language lessons. My ad was unique because I had only 7-weeks to reach a level of fluency in Portuguese that would allow me to communicate advanced ideas, complex concepts, and detailed instructions.

My ad received hundreds of responses from experienced teachers and working professionals, but Lara's response stood out above all others because of her personable and genuine approach. From her replies, I sensed that she comprehended all the finer details of my unique request, and I assumed that her diverse teaching background would be advantageous.

After our first few lessons, it was clear that Lara had a firm grasp on the mechanics of second language acquisition, without being pedantic. Her teaching abilities immediately instilled confidence that I would be able to meet my goals, and she exceeded my expectations.

With each lesson, Lara brought a consistent enthusiasm, creative ideas for learning, and a nurturing attitude that was tempered with just the right amount of discipline to make sure that I progressed at a healthy pace to meet my goals. Her methods were efficient and effective, based on the principles of Automatic Language Growth (ALG), which allowed me to absorb the language and grammar naturally through immersion.

Lara was flexible with scheduling and always sensitive to my interests and energy levels during each lesson. She was also excellent with communication and always replied to my calls and messages in a timely manner.

Lara is an enterprising and multi-talented professional, and I would not hesitate to recommend her for any endeavor that she felt qualified to pursue.

Recomendo as aulas da Professora Lara para quem quer aperfeiçoar a sua técnica vocal, melhorando a colocação da voz, respiração e projeção. As aulas são dinâmicas em termos de exercícios, que facilmente depois se aplicam ao canto propriamente dito. Tudo isto num ambiente descontraído. Notei muitas melhorias ao frequentar estas aulas.

Ja tenho canto com a Lara há quase um ano apesar de ter começado muito reticentemente, devido às minhas poucas capacidades na área, continuo entusiasmadíssima! A Lara transmite-me em todas as aulas a confiança que preciso para continuar a tentar aprender!

A Lara é fantástica ! Uma professora super doce, a gentileza em pessoa, sabe deixar o aluno à vontade e estabelecer a confiança, o que é fundamental, encorajando sempre, e ela tem muita habilidade em propor sugestões de repertório que convém ao que o aluno procura : isto prova que além de ensinar, ela também faz prova de escuta ativa, o que suponho não ser o caso de muitos profissionais nesta área. As explicações dela são claras e pertinentes, os exercícios vocais sempre acompanhados de trabalhos sobre a postura e a respiração.
Sou aluna dela há menos de um ano, e confesso mesmo, que nunca pensei ser capaz de muitas coisas que já alcancei graças à técnica, paciência e simpatia da Lara.
Estou muito feliz em estudar e aprender com ela, não poderia imaginar uma professora de canto melhor. Recomendo para todos, mesmo !! :-)

Trata-se de transmitir uma paixão, um sentimento e todo um vasto conhecimento que nos envolve a nós, alunos.
Da sua técnica, como profissional de canto, não restam duvidas. Das suas capacidades de transmitir os seus conhecimentos ao próximo, também não.
