About Lucas
Hello! My name is Lucas, I'm an American living in rural Wakayama Japan with my wife, a Japanese National. I currently teach English at a public school here in Wakayama city and also do freelance translation on the side. I've been studying Japanese extensively for over 8 years and completely fluent in spoken/written Japanese and of course native level in English. I love languages in general so its always been a dream of mine to not only teach English but to give people around the world a chance to understand western culture.
