About Racheal
Hello, my name is Racheal Folorunsho, I am a second year Architecture undergraduate at the University of Cambridge. I graduated sixth form with an A*AA and was one of the 55 students from Brampton Manor Sixth Form to get an Oxbridge offer. Of course, I took my Cambridge offer. Having experienced the university application process, helped others with it, and then experienced the course, I can say with full confidence that I can be really beneficial to your architecture application process. I know the ins and outs of the process and fully understand how stressful it can be with grades and fear of not knowing enough about the subject, but I strive to make it less stressful for you with my advice.

My lessons have a relaxed but academic approach, and aimed at students aged 16-18 wishing to apply to university for architecture. Specifically, students aiming to study at the University of Cambridge. Lessons last between 1 hour to 1 hour and a half, depending on which main aspect of the application process we are working on.
The 4 main parts to an architecture university application are, the personal statement, portfolio, at interview assessment, and the interview.
From my experience, I learnt that getting an early start to your UCAS application really allows you to refine and develop your personal statement making it more appealing to universities. Therefore, for lessons analysing personal statements, we shall discuss what to include and how to structure your personal statement. As well as, suggesting and supervising extracurricular activities that will aid your application.
With sessions regarding portfolios, as an A* art student, I know exactly what interviewers from different universities are looking for. I can also aid students who don’t actually take A-level Art, but still want to apply, in creating a sufficient portfolio.
For interview related aspects, I am very confident in the advise and practice I can offer. I have frequently held sessions with my sixth form, Brampton Manor Sixth Form, aiding students in their interview prep and have been invited to do so again this year. In addition, having actually spent a year writing architectural essays, I will be a strong asset in building up your essay skills for the assessment, as well as telling you what they want to see in your drawings.
