About Marti
"Beginners often feel overwhelmed by the instrument when they first start their musical journey. I remember standing in the wings of a concert hall before my final recital at the Royal College of Music, feeling that exact same nervous energy. After 4 years of teaching, I have helped many students find their footing on the violin.
My focus remains on SHIFTING POSITIONS, spiccato and staccato bowing, and vibrato. I also cover sight reading, tone production, orchestral playing, and intonation. These technical elements are what make the instrument sing, though I still enjoy listening to old jazz records when I am not in the studio."

"Hearing that first clear note resonate in a quiet room is the goal of our initial meeting. We begin by adjusting your physical posture to ensure you can hold the violin with ease.
My 4 years of experience helps me spot exactly where tension might be hiding in your hands or shoulders. I offer weekly practice modules assigned with every class to keep your progress moving steadily forward. We tackle these exercises together so you understand the logic behind the mechanics. You will see how my background in performance shapes the way we approach each technical hurdle.
Consistency matters more than intensity during these 10 segments of our work. I track your intonation and bowing style closely to ensure we build a solid foundation. There is no guesswork involved when you have a clear plan for your development. Your sound will grow in clarity as we refine your technique each week."
