About Martha
Strings vibrate with a crisp clarity as we warm up together. You will start by reading tabs and analyzing scales to build your fretboard knowledge. I integrate lead guitar techniques into every segment to keep your hands moving. My method provides a monthly recorded review of your progress.
This gives you a clear look at how your playing has evolved since our last session. I use my professional gigging history to show you how to apply these skills to real music. It is rewarding to see your confidence grow behind the guitar.

Music was my first language long before I mastered English. I learned to play by ear in Mexico before gigging for 8 years in the US.
My technical foundation comes from 14 years of stage performance. I specialize in working with returning learners and advanced players who want to sharpen their skills.
Power chords and barre chords are second nature to me now. Improvisation and soloing require a mix of ear training and theory knowledge. You will find my teaching style is very rhythmic and direct. I still play live shows whenever possible.
