About Rocío
I understand how you feel when you're practicing speaking in a new language. I know it can feel very frustrating many times.
This is my story:
When I first moved to the US, I had my Brazilian friend to practice speaking without holding anything back. We were both learning and we would correct each other when possible. This made a positive impact on my confidence and fluency. But unfortunately not everyone has that person that will make you feel safe and confident. That's why I am here, and you too. To get together and get the best out of this new language.
I am a travel lover, so I am all about cultures and places around the world. I am happy to teach you more about Argentine culture or talk about other places around the globe. I am also open to your suggestions, so feel free to come up with your interests. Looking forward to meeting you! Nos vemos!

I am passionate about languages. I studied English, Portuguese and French. I know how important it is to keep in touch with the language, because "if you don't use it, you lose it".
So to prevent that from happening, let's have conversations that will help you sharpen those conversational skills, learn more about other Spanish speaking countries, and also have fun.
I know how hard it can be to start speaking a new language, because of the fear of making mistakes, mispronunciation, you name it. I want you to know that learning a new language is already hard enough so first give yourself some credits for getting thus far. Second, this is a safe space where you can build your self-confidence and knowledge. I will make sure that judgment and shame stay outside the room.
I want to be your tutor and Argentine friend that you can set loose and enjoy the process of using this beautiful language like Spanish. We will learn and laugh from our own mistakes, it is just part of the process.
Also there is nothing cooler than people who know more than one language ;)
A typical lesson:
It will be centered around a topic from an article, a famous book, a video which we will discuss during the lesson and answer a series of questions. During this process we will be practicing reading comprehension, listening and speaking. Also we will go through those new words and its meanings, adding up to your vocabulary.
Feel free to come up with prior questions and doubts about phrases you heard and want to learn how to use them. These are conversational topics so you will learn about slangs and other common used phrases in the daily bases.
