About India
I am a recent graduate from the Courtauld Institute in London, where I gained a BA in History of Art. I have a wide range of knowledge but my particular interests are digital, photographic theory, 20th century, architecture and modernism/postmodernism. I completed 2 dissertations; one on the artist Mark Leckey and British Nationalism, and the other on Cuban Video Game Art. I am passionate about art history and want to share this!
Alongside this I practice my own art. I ran the art society at my university across the three years, where I ran a number of events including life drawing and themed nights such as 'pollock and pinot'. I also co-run a magazine which is a platform for young artists today. I practice my own art mostly in watercolours and inks. I am currently teaching myself to use digital programmes such as InDesign and Photoshop to explore the possibility of these
Alongside my interest in the subject, I have experience tutoring. I have worked at after school art clubs for a number of years along with volunteering at my local brownies unit where I planned and led sessions. I have run children’s art workshops at the Barbican centre in London and last year was a nanny to three children, where I tutored them across all of their school subjects.

For younger years, I have a number of lesson plans which can be taught or I can produce lessons upon request; whether on a particular artist or theme. I can assist with GCSE and A-Level Sketchbook preparation, working through the grade requirements with you to gain that higher level. For A-Level Art History tuition I can assist with essay writing and visual analysis practice. Whatever level the student may be, I am committed to helping students get the grade they need or make art history fun and exciting for younger children. I deliver tailored lessons to your individual working style and requirements. I am a enthusiastic, creative and dedicated tutor.
When things are back to normal, I would be happy to lead trips and discussions across London's galleries. This is the best way to learn! Please enquire about this separately!
