About Kiera
Hi! My name is Kiera, I am a prospective secondary school Art & Design teacher, and I look forward to speaking with you :)
I graduated from Dundee University (DJCAD) in 2018 with a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art, Philosophy and Contemporary Practices.
Before this, I gained a HND qualification in Communication Design.
During university and after, I spent 6 years working as an events photographer and running my own events photography agency, with a team of up to 15 photographers who I provided regular training to.
Since leaving the photography world I have studied Entry to Teaching for Graduates at college, to begin my teaching journey before entering the PDGE course. Having learned teaching methods and professional practices, I am ready to share my skills and knowledge.
I hold a PVG certificate for 2022.

For Scottish secondary school pupils, aged 14 - 18.
Inspiring and encouraging - I'm here to help you reach your artistic goals in a way that is comfortable and suited to your needs - let's have a chat and lessons can be based around you.
I can teach you various techniques and methods of painting and drawing as well as explore other types of art, styles and media.
If technical skills aren't what you need improving, I can also help with art history, theory, understanding terminology, learning how to think critically and how to discuss art, as well as exam prep.
Thinking of applying to Art School? One on ones can also be given for portfolio prep!
Typical lesson length being offered is up to an hour.
