About Chaney
Hi, I’m Chaney! I have a strong background in studio art, having studied art as my major in college, and I am currently earning my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Art Education. I’m also a successful watercolor artist and have experience creating and selling my own artwork.
My background as both a practicing artist and future art educator allows me to combine real artistic experience with effective teaching strategies. I’m passionate about making art welcoming and enjoyable for people of all ages and helping each artist build confidence, develop their skills, and discover their own creative voice.

My approach to art tutoring is encouraging, hands-on, and personalized to each artist. I believe the best way to learn art is by creating, experimenting, and building skills in a positive environment where mistakes are part of the process.
Lessons are tailored to your interests, goals, and experience level. We may begin with a short demonstration or technique, practice the skill together, and then apply it to a project that allows for creativity and individual expression.
As an art major, successful watercolor painter, and current MAT student in Art Education, I bring both studio art experience and teaching knowledge to my lessons. I can help with watercolor, drawing, painting, elements of art, color theory, creative projects, and developing foundational art skills.
My lessons are open to children, teens, and adults of all skill levels—from complete beginners to artists looking to strengthen their skills. Most importantly, I want each person I work with to feel confident, supported, and excited to create!
