About Zoe
Empathy is at the heart of my teaching philosophy, enabling me to deeply understand each student’s unique perspective and needs. With over four years of specialised experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), I employ an empathetic approach to craft personalised learning plans tailored to meet the specific needs of every learner. By actively listening to my students and involving them in their educational journey, I design engaging and relevant lessons that integrate their interests and expectations. As an artist, I infuse creativity into my teaching methods, creating an environment where learning is not only effective but also enjoyable and meaningful. This approach not only enhances academic and artistic skills and knowledge but also cultivates confidence, fostering a lifelong passion for learning. With a strong foundation in art and innovative teaching strategies, my training in neurodivergence has significantly contributed to my ability to understand and address the diverse needs of my students. I have consistently guided them to achieve outstanding results, including notable successes in English GCSE examinations. My goal is to nurture each student’s strengths, support them to overcome challenges, and make a lasting impact on their academic and personal journey. I am dedicated to fostering a positive and empowering environment where every student feels valued, supported, and motivated to excel. In addition to academic support, I also incorporate teachings on mindfulness and self-care to enhance overall well-being. I hold a TEFL qualification and I am open to teach English with Art.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, creative, and adaptable. I tailor each lesson to the individual, taking into account their interests, abilities, and learning style. In art, I teach across all mediums—including drawing, painting, digital art, and watercolour—using hands-on techniques, demonstrations, and guided practice to develop both technical skills and personal expression. For English and Life Skills, I integrate interactive activities, real-world applications, and personalised exercises to make learning engaging and meaningful. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, though I am flexible depending on the student’s needs and focus. I aim to create a supportive and enjoyable environment, combining creativity, mindfulness, and skill-building so students grow in confidence as well as knowledge. I am a Fine Art graduate and practising artist exhibiting internationally, with over four years of experience tutoring SEND students. I have experience designing personalised learning plans and running workshops that encourage experimentation, curiosity, and self-expression. My lessons are suitable for everyone of all ages and levels. Every session is designed to be engaging, accessible, and tailored to help students reach their full potential in developing their artistic practice.
