About Kiara
I’m Kiara Jordan, founder of Celestial Learning & Support Services. My passion for American Sign Language comes from seeing how serious communication barriers can become, especially in healthcare, education, and behavioral support settings.
I have seen how language deprivation, lack of access, and delayed communication can affect people deeply. In healthcare, even a small delay in communication can make someone feel scared, confused, or unheard. Interpreters are important, but they are not always immediately available, and sometimes families, staff, or clients need basic communication support right away.
That is why I want to help more people learn American Sign Language for everyday, medical, and professional settings. Even basic signs can help create comfort, access, and respect.
I also include basic RBT/ABA terminology because communication matters in behavioral support too. Parents, caregivers, and professionals may work with Deaf individuals, Deaf parents, or nonverbal children who need patience, structure, and understanding.
My goal is not to replace professional interpreters, but to expand awareness, confidence, and access so more people can communicate with care.

I do not teach by only following a book or giving random vocabulary lists. My lessons are built around real-life situations, stories, and everyday examples so the signs and terminology actually make sense.
Depending on your goals, we can focus on American Sign Language for everyday communication, medical situations, behavioral/RBT support, or basic terminology. I like to connect lessons to things people actually experience, such as appointments, work, family, clients, school, emotions, or simple daily conversations.
We can practice signs, fingerspelling, basic phrases, sentence structure, medical-related vocabulary, and RBT/ABA terms in a way that feels more natural and easier to remember.
My goal is to make learning feel patient, clear, and useful. You are allowed to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn step by step. The first session is free so we can talk about your goals and see what learning style works best for you.

My rates depend on the subject area because each lesson requires different preparation, vocabulary, and support.
General American Sign Language: $30/hour
Basic RBT/ABA Terminology: $45/hour
Basic Medical Terminology: $50/hour
I offer a free first session so we can discuss your goals, comfort level, and the best learning plan for you.
Flexible payment arrangements may be discussed, as long as we respect time, scheduling, and communication.
