About Joshua
I am an aspiring artist who was recently accepted at Berklee College of Music for a January 2022 start.
I studied music at high school while picking up the drums, violin and piano, winning the prize for music in year 12 and the Neil Guyan Cup for commitment to the music department in my final year.
I love exploring different musical genres and blending various elements of them into my craft. I am currently working on my first full studio song in Logic, with an EP in the works and even an album on the way!

I have a very balanced approach to my teaching, demonstrating how to achieve the criteria for music studies up to NCEA level 3 while also maintaining an open minded approach to music and it's multifaceted interpretive nature. I give lots of free space for my students to explore, generate ideas and ask questions.
A typical lesson will be from 1 to1 and a half hours depending on your preference.
I have been teaching drums and theory in my spare time for about 2 months now.
Any high school students will be acceptable with a preference for NCEA level 1-3 students.
