About Lili
I am first a lover of words and storytelling. I have loved reading and writing since I was a child. In addition to literacy I am also fueled by the sciences and learning languages. This combination has played a vital role into my adventurous life that has led me to be indefinitely abroad from USA since 2015. I have been teaching ESL since 2016. I have lived in Thailand, Vietnam, and Turkey. I am currently learning Mandarin and Turkish , while trying to maintain Thai. Living abroad while learning about different cultures and languages has presented countless opportunities. I am inspired by nature, communication and the unknown; this connects me to every student I have been a guide for.

My Adult classes offered are for those who enjoy reading and writing but don’t know know how to find comprehensible texts. These classes also cater to those who are interested in improving their language and literacy skills with more focus. Foreign language teachers, primary school teachers and parents of young children who would like to have more tools in guiding and supporting their children’s language development in holistic and engaging ways will also find these courses interesting.
Class Topics:
Customized - based on informal assessments and your interests
English Language Arts - Figurative language, story elements, literature and more
Writer’s Workshop [90min] - (Mentor text read aloud, mini lesson, independent writing for 30-40min, sharing/discussing)
Guided Reading - student choice or teacher suggested texts selected (novel, young adult fiction, prose, etc.) and we discuss in
Placement test for CEFR level (A2-C1) - Structured lessons aligned closely with CEFR language expectations. Grammar lessons available when applicable.
Illustrator or Author study of children’s books - Teachers can feel inspired to make their own collection and incorporate it into their lessons.
Developing Informal Writing - narrative writing, opinion texts, explanation texts and more
Informal Assessments Available
