About Christina
I began my career as an elementary school reading teacher and developed a fascination for how human language works. While earning my Ph.D., I studied educational linguistics and worked as an Academic Director at an international language school. These opportunities equipped me with the knowledge to support others in using the English language more strategically and purposefully. Now, I continue to conduct research to discover effective ways to engage students in culturally sustaining language instruction. I began tutoring international students while I was in college and continue to do so as it is something I truly enjoy and I value the relationships I build.
