About Liza
I am a dedicated violin tutor with 6 years of teaching and professional performance experience, committed to helping students develop both technical mastery and artistic expression.
I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners learning foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for recitals, competitions, and exams.
One of the most fulfilling milestones of my career has been seeing students transform from hesitant beginners into confident performers capable of playing with skill, emotion, and musical interpretation.
My teaching emphasizes strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also fostering creativity, musical interpretation, and expressive performance.
I integrate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to provide students with a holistic understanding of music.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, learning style, and goals, creating a supportive, patient, and inspiring environment where students are encouraged to explore, express themselves, and achieve their full potential. Teaching violin allows me to cultivate confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music in every student.

I teach violin using a methodology focused on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to create technically skilled, expressive, and confident musicians.
Lessons are structured yet flexible, combining technical exercises, creative exploration, improvisation, and performance preparation tailored to the student’s abilities and goals.
Motivation drives progress. I guide students to define meaningful goals, monitor their development, and celebrate milestones, fostering perseverance, self-confidence, and a love for music. Students learn to embrace challenges and view mistakes as opportunities for growth, cultivating resilience and determination.
Communication ensures lessons are interactive, collaborative, and supportive. Students are encouraged to ask questions, share challenges, and discuss ideas openly, creating an engaging and positive learning environment.
Creativity is integrated into every lesson. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises help students discover their artistic voice, develop emotional expression, and strengthen their connection to music. Integrity emphasizes disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, forming habits that support consistent growth and long-term excellence.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and introductory piano, providing students with a holistic musical foundation that supports technical mastery and artistic development.
