About JOEL
If you are not a native English speaker and having lots of trouble in writing in class, I can help you. Here are a few important reasons why I could be your next tutor. First, I care about my students so I will listen carefully to your concerns and spend time finding a solution that works best for you. Second, I will use my 15 years of teaching experience to give you good examples, instruction, and trusted reviews of your writing. Most importantly, my background in ESL and living in South Korea helps me to understand the difficulties you are experiencing. It also means I speak clearly and in sentences you can understand. My lessons use examples and lots of small digestible tasks to help your writing get better.
Each lesson is 50 minutes, allowing time to develop skills but also work on current tasks you have been given in class.
My lessons and teaching come from over 15 years of teaching experience both in Australia and Korea. Yes, this teacher was also licensed in Australia but the most important characteristic I have is care for my student's progress. From a foundation of care, we can find tools that work best for you, make the most of your background and passions, and develop your writing skills.
My lessons are best for students who are not native English speakers and are having some trouble with essays in school.
