About Susan
I'm a widely published writer and author of a recent book of poems, "Out of Nowhere" (Stephen F. Austin Univ. Press/Texas A&M, 2022).
My individual poems have appeared in the Harvard Review Online, Rattle, The Common, Prairie Schooner and North American Review, among others.
Since 2017, I've taught creative and critical writing to undergraduates at Siena College, The College of St. Rose, and most recently, SUNY Albany, as well as diverse groups of adults in the community.
Previously, I was a freelance arts & culture journalist, covering books, authors and literary trends for The Atlantic Online, The Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor and Jewish Daily Forward, among others.
