About Élider
Élider DiPaula is a Brazilian classical pianist, composer, and educator with over 15 years of experience in performance, education, and arts leadership. Praised by the Chicago Tribune as a “highly personable, exceptionally talented pianist,” he began his musical journey by winning the Orestes Farinello National Piano Competition at the age of seven. He holds advanced degrees in piano performance, including a Master’s from James Madison University and an Artist Diploma from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. As the Executive and Artistic Director of Project 88 Music Academy, DiPaula has been instrumental in securing over $1 million in funding, significantly expanding scholarship programs and enhancing access to professional music education. Under his leadership, Project 88 has presented over 100 concerts featuring artists from more than 17 nationalities, fostering cultural exchange and enriching the community. DiPaula’s teaching philosophy centers on a holistic approach that integrates technical proficiency, musical interpretation, and personal development. He emphasizes healthy playing techniques, mind-body awareness, and the cultivation of habits that benefit both musical pursuits and overall well-being.
