The most exciting thing about music is that at the age of 31 - and having been studying and making music for over 20 years now - I am realizing that there will always be more to learn, and more places to learn - whether that is another stint at a conservatory, studying for a degree, or working in the local music circuit, picking up valuable life lessons from real-world experiences.

Well howdy, y'all! I'm John & I'm both a jazz and classical pianist, composer, and producer! I spend my days writing, practicing, and learning all that I can about music, audio engineering, and teaching musicians of all levels about the music that I love and have dedicated my life to.
My focus in lessons is always on this simple idea: "How can we encourage as much creative thought as possible?" This is a goal for my students, and for myself as well. I firmly believe that the most fulfilling path through music is one that encourages - even necessitates - creativity. After all, we're making sounds here! What can be more creative than that?
