About Phillip
I am a graduate of the NYU Film School—now living in Los Angeles, where I’ve built my career as a filmmaker. Over the years, I’ve directed numerous critically acclaimed films and television projects, along with award-winning commercials for brands like Lexus, Jack Daniel’s, Guinness, Uber, IBM, and more. I began my career in documentary filmmaking, beginning with my first feature film, #ReGENERATION (2012), which explores the state of activism. Narrated by Academy Award winner Ryan Gosling, the film received multiple festival accolades and awards. Since then, I’ve continued to blur the lines between storytelling and reality, working across both scripted and non-scripted formats. I recently directed television for Paramount+ and History Channel, expanding my range in long-form storytelling. My short film Big Boy Pants, a Vimeo Staff Pick starring Finn Wittrock (Ratched, American Horror Story), is another example of my passion for visually striking, narrative-driven filmmaking. In 2018, my experiential commercial work for the 60th Anniversary Grammy Awards earned Cannes Silver and Bronze Lions. That same year, my genre-bending dance/horror film Child of the Sky premiered at the New York Film Festival after a successful festival run. Earlier in my career, I was recognized in SHOOT Magazine’s prestigious New Directors Showcase and received the Cannes New Director Award for my documentary work with P&G on the 2012 Olympic Games.

Details
Online rate is $55/hour or $250 for a 5 hour package. In person add +20 per hour. If you would like to package more time, let me know and I am more than willing to negotiate based on project, income level, and what you aim to achieve.
