About Jessica
Hi, my name is Jess!
As a high-achieving and creatively driven educator, I use my musical background to bring a creative approach to teaching so that I ensure learning is exciting, engaging and supportive for children of all needs.
I currently work full-time as a primary school teacher, and have had experience teaching children from ages 4 to 16 through teaching and private tutoring, and I have also supported lots of children with special educational needs to develop their musical learning.
I have been classically trained in piano since the age of 5, and have been singing and playing guitar for over 10+ years. I love to sing pop and jazz, and enjoy writing my own songs. I have been recognised for my songwriting and was awarded ‘Best Song Musically and Lyrically’ at university.
I developed my understanding and practice of vocal health and singing techniques through university at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), where I achieved a 1st-class degree, and went on to receive my PGCE with Distinction in Primary Education the following year.
Furthermore, my personal journey through all academic levels of music, learning at primary level through to GCSEs and IB level music qualifications, has allowed me to understand the positives that musical learning has to offer.
With this first-hand experience, I have been able to confidently offer my expertise through music tutoring opportunities and provide a fun, personal learning experience for singers of all ages!

Do you have a PASSION FOR SINGING and want to maintain a healthy singing voice? Are you working towards a singing exam and need some support?
Singing is an enjoyable hobby and is easy to do from the comfort of your home, but did you know singing without the proper technique can be damaging to your vocal health?
I believe vocal health and technique are important to keep your singing voice sounding good, and also healthy!
As your singing tutor, I will help you to:
- find your vocal range
- find your vocal 'style'
- sing in different genres
- teach breathing and vocal health to maintain a healthy singing voice
- help with vocal techniques
- teach through helping you sing your favourite songs!
My 1 hour lessons will be broken down into:
10/15 mins vocal warm-up and breathing
30/40 mins vocal technique practice through songs of your choice
10-15 mins singing run-throughs with support
I offer short-term and long-term session blocks to help you develop your key techniques to support a lifelong singing journey.
I can't wait to work with you and support you to achieving a healthy, strong singing voice!

I did online sessions with Jess and I cannot recommend her enough. She was kind, friendly and made me feel really comfortable during our sessions. SHORT-TERM (5 WEEKS) - 5x 1-hour 1-to-1 online sessions
- This offers a whistlestop (but still in-depth) tour through our vocal techniques.
- Ideal for singers who want to learn the techniques to take away with them to sing in their own time!
LONG-TERM (10 WEEKS) - 10x 1-hour 1-to-1 online sessions
- This offers a longer experience with our 1-to-1 sessions to develop techniques through more songs.
- Ideal for singers who are working towards performances, or have a longer repertoire of songs they would like to work on more closely
