About Christopher
I am Christopher Lo, from Hong Kong and born in UK, where I am pursuing a degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I teach while studying because I find immense value in understanding the challenges beginners face, and helping them overcome these obstacles enhances my own learning. As the saying goes, “iron sharpens iron.” I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with students, and their successes fill me with pride. This motivates me to strive for greatness in my own musical journey and to continually improve as a teacher and individual.

As a kind and patient saxophone teacher, I prioritise creating a positive and supportive learning environment. I use a combination of foundational techniques, including finger placement exercises, breathing methods, and improvisation, tailored to each student's needs. Lessons typically last for 30-60 minutes, depending on the student's level and goals. I have been teaching for three years and am currently pursuing a degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. My lessons are designed for students of all ages and skill levels, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your technique. Let's embark on this musical journey together!

One of our kids wanted to learn the saxophone. We found Christopher on Superprof and we are so happy he said yes when we contacted him. We could not have found a better teacher. He is always on time, reliable and patient teacher. He also offered to teach piano to another of our kids and they are both learning very fast. We fully recommend Christopher to everyone who wants to learn either saxophone or piano.
I have been a student of Christopher's for 2 years now and to say he is a very accomplished and dedicated tutor is an understatement. He is always on time and during lessons he explains everything in great detail. And because he knows his music, he doesn't even have to look at me playing the saxophone and if I play a wrong note then he spots it immediately. Apart from being an excellent tutor Christopher is also such a nice guy and I consider him to be a friend and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone wishing to learn how to play an instrument from scratch....as I have done and I will continue to do so.
I have been tutored by Lo for over a year and find him an excellent teacher and has given me confidence in learning the saxophone
