About Claudia
I'm an award-winning screenwriter with two Best Screenplay wins and a Cannes Short Film Corner selection, and twelve years of experience across major film and TV productions. I hold a BA in English Literature, and I've spent my career telling stories professionally — on the page and on screen.
But I didn't always see myself as a writer. At school I didn't think I was "an English person" at all — until a teacher encouraged me to believe I could be. That one bit of belief changed my path completely, and it's why I teach: I'm here to do the same for the next young person who hasn't yet realised what they're capable of.
There's nothing like watching a student who thought they "weren't a writer" suddenly find their voice and get excited about the page. I bring the real craft of professional storytelling to students aged roughly 11 to 17 — not dry theory, but how stories actually get built and told — in a way that's warm, encouraging and genuinely fun. My goal is simple: to share the joy that writing has given me.

My approach is practical, warm and encouraging. Instead of treating writing as a dry school exercise, I teach it the way it's really done: how to build characters a reader cares about, structure a story that grips, and find your own voice on the page. Students get the kind of honest, constructive feedback a professional writer works with — always specific, and always aimed at making them better and braver. It works just as well for a keen young writer with a story to tell as for a student who wants to grow in confidence with English and creative writing at school.
