About Lotus
I’m a writer and director with over 20 years of professional experience spanning writing and directing in Film and TV, prime-time TV production and acting. I’m a graduate of East 15 Acting School who rose from runner through the ranks of production to become an award-winning filmmaker with broadcast credits as a director and writer for BBC 1, Channel 4 and ARTE in Europe.
I have an extensive background in production across all the major UK terrestrial TV channels. My career has been built on a foundation of formal drama training, creating a unique style of working with actors to maximise the translation of drama from set to screen.
A former board member of Directors UK, I am committed to making the industry fair and inclusive. I’ve moderated industry panels, and I speak at a variety of events and for career development training. I’m an alumna of the BBC Directors Training Programme, the Creative England Talent Module and Reclaim The Frame Filmonomics. I won The Script Factory Development Scheme with my first original feature, “Render” and was trained in screenwriting by Lucy Scher and Justine Hart. My haunting screenplay “Undertow” was selected for the BFI Network Live Script Read at Encounters Film Festival.
