As a tutor, my approach revolves around tailoring each lesson to the unique needs and learning styles of my students. I employ a variety of techniques and methodologies to ensure that concepts are not only understood but also retained and applied effectively.
My teaching methodology is interactive and student-centered, with a focus on engaging activities, discussions, and real-world examples to reinforce learning. Each lesson typically lasts between 60 to 90 minutes, allowing sufficient time for instruction, practice, and review. However, I am flexible and can adjust the length of the lesson based on the student's preferences and needs.
With a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing and Chinese from the University of Melbourne, coupled with my experience as a Teaching Assistant at Tenby International School, I bring a strong educational background and practical expertise to my tutoring sessions. As a Masters of Teaching student, I continue to hone my Teaching practises to provide the best personalised support for every student.
My lessons are primarily designed for primary and secondary students who are seeking support in English, History, Geography or Mandarin. Whether they need help with grammar and composition, understanding historical events and concepts, or developing fluency in Mandarin, I am here to provide personalized guidance.
Overall, my goal as a tutor is to empower students to reach their full potential by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed academically and beyond.
