About Shannon
I am a registered teacher from BC, Canada, and I am passionate about creativity and curiosity. I bring an engaging energy to my teaching that is uniquely curated to the learner's needs.
As a teacher, I am dedicated to designing lessons and support systems that reflect the students under my care.
What did I study before becoming a teacher? I have a bachelor's degree in History and, of course, a bachelor's degree in Education. My historical areas of interest are immigration, social movements such as the civil rights movement, urbanization and gentrification.
My students can attest to how passionate I can be when discussing social studies and English literature topics. Often they tease me by saying my "theatre" is showing. This indicates how my love of theatre intersects with my teaching style.
