About Carolyn Derosa
Does your current musical path feel disconnected from the performance goals you hope to reach? My formal training includes a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, which provides the foundation for my 13 years of experience. I emphasize SIGHT TRANSPOSITION and ear training to ensure students grasp the internal logic of a composition.
My method incorporates rigorous memorization techniques alongside scales and arpeggios to build technical independence. We will refine your pedaling technique and music theory application, while strictly monitoring your posture and hand position. Mastering sight playing and classical repertoire is the bridge between practice and the stage.
