About Teri
Years ago, I sat on my bedroom floor with cassette tapes and a stack of tabs, trying to figure out the fretboard by ear alone. It was messy, frustrating, and honestly the best foundation I could have asked for.
Later, I smoothed out those rough edges with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar from the University of North Texas. Now, I blend that self-taught curiosity with the rigorous theory I picked up in school. My 11 years of experience have taught me that students want structure without losing their personal style.
I teach electric technique, music theory, songwriting, reading sheet music, improvisation, and soloing. We work on chord transitions, blues progressions, ear training, lead guitar, and scales or modes. I suppose that is just how it goes.

Working through technical hurdles feels much smoother when you see the fretboard from two distinct angles, so I keep my camera setup focused on clear visual feedback. I emphasize steady, manageable progress over rushed results.
You get a monthly recorded review of your playing to track how far you have come over time. Since I hold a Bachelor of Music, I rely on a mix of formal theory and practical application to keep the pace right for you. I try to make sure nothing feels too rigid or overly academic during our time together.
