About Sophia
Hi! I'm Sophia, a Bachelor of Music Theatre at NASDA Ara in Christchurch. I've been a choral singer for 15 years, alongside Musical Theatre and playing Piano and Guitar. I have music reading and theory skills, and am a huge lover of the performing arts. I love teaching, and core to that is learning the basic technique that can lead you to singing whatever style you enjoy the most. The most important thing about singing and music is loving what you do, no matter how much experience you have! My lessons are always a safe, supportive, and fun space to experiment—with no judgment. We all start somewhere, and it's really important to feel comfortable with the mentors around you.

Alongside a main focus on singing- lessons can be assisted by learning music reading and theory skills. Musical Theatre and Choral singing are the core strengths of my teaching method, learning basic technique and applying to any style of singing.
I am a Bachelor of Music Theatre student at NASDA, Ara and have had 15 years of choral singing, and Choir Leader experience.
These lessons are held at the clients home, and are aimed toward children from the ages of 5-16 of any skill level.
