About Ruvindi
I am a Bachelor of Science graduate currently completing my Master of Teaching, with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and succeed in mathematics and science. My academic background allows me to explain complex concepts clearly and guide students through challenging topics step by step.
Over the past year, I have been tutoring students across different year levels, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve their problem-solving skills, and prepare for school assessments. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their abilities.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundations first, then gradually introducing more advanced concepts once students feel confident. I prepare my own notes, worksheets, and PowerPoint explanations to make lessons structured and engaging.
As a future teacher, I place a strong emphasis on patience, clear communication, and adapting lessons to suit each student’s learning style. My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to help them develop a positive mindset towards learning.

My lessons are personalised to suit each student’s learning style, level, and school curriculum. I focus on building strong foundations in maths and science while also helping students develop confidence and independent problem-solving skills.
I usually begin by identifying areas where the student needs support, then explain concepts step-by-step using clear examples, diagrams, and my own structured notes and PowerPoint slides. Students are given practice questions during the lesson and guidance on how to approach exam-style problems. I also provide worksheets and revision strategies to reinforce learning.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Lessons normally include concept explanation, guided practice, and review of schoolwork or homework.
I have been tutoring students for about a year and have experience helping primary and secondary students improve their understanding of maths and science subjects. As a Bachelor of Science graduate currently completing a Master of Teaching, I combine strong subject knowledge with modern teaching strategies used in classrooms.
My lessons are suitable for:
• Primary students (Year 1–7) – Maths and Science foundations
• Secondary students – Maths and Science support
• VCE Chemistry Units 1/2 and 3/4
My goal is not only to help students improve their marks, but also to make learning more engaging and enjoyable so they feel confident in their abilities.
