About Noor
As a native Arabic speaker living in a non-Arabic-speaking country, I understand how easy it can be to lose touch with a language. For a while, I found myself favoring English and struggling to maintain my Arabic. However, as I grew older, I began to appreciate just how beautiful, expressive and artistic Arabic truly is, which inspired me to reconnect with the language and continue developing my skills.
This experience is one of the reasons I want to teach Arabic. Whether you want to practice conversations to maintain your Arabic, improve your pronunciation, or learn the language from scratch, I would love to help you build your confidence and discover the beauty of Arabic for yourself!

My lessons are designed for beginners who want to learn Arabic in a friendly, supportive and engaging environment. I focus on building a strong foundation in the Arabic alphabet, pronunciation, reading and essential vocabulary. I use clear explanations, practical exercises and fun activities or games to help students learn at their own pace and build confidence.
If you can already speak Arabic but want to practice and maintain your skills, we can also have conversations on a variety of topics to expand your vocabulary, improve your pronunciation and help you feel more confident speaking Arabic.
I have 3 years of experience teaching basic Arabic and adapt my teaching methods to each student's starting level, age and learning style. Online lessons are preferred, with lesson lengths arranged to suit each student's needs. For younger learners, in-person lessons can also be arranged at public libraries in Wellington to make learning more interactive and engaging.
