About Andres
I have been playing saxophone for over 10 years starting as a young seedling in 3rd grade. I have since been practicing relentlessly to forge my passion into a craft that I can share with others.
I have played in a few marching bands, a number of jazz big bands, and combos as well as have performed a few classical pieces in concerts during my high school years as well as in university. I have auditioned and made it to be one of the top saxophone players in the NW AZ region as I made the regional band in 2020 and 2021. I was also offered a lead alto position in a community college big band. I did take a lead alto position at NAU in Flagstaff where I play for the Big Band. Additionally, I have taken lessons with many professionally trained classical and jazz musicians. I have a huge passion for teaching for all my students in the past, present, and future!

I can teach basic blues and jazz concepts along with many jazz standards, many pop tunes, and ear training so you can play a song without sheet music. I also teach classical repertoire and styles. I can also help students practicing for auditions for a regional band or other. I mainly tailor my lessons to players of all ages having very little skill or experience on the saxophone all the way up to advanced high school players wanting to expand their musical pallet of abilities and stylistic skills.
